THE HARTLEPOOL PDA MARINA TRAIL IS A CIRCULAR WALK TAKES US AROUND THE PRESENT DAY MARINA AND LOOKS BACK TO THIS AREA IN FORMER TIMES WHEN IT EVOLVED FROM THE ORIGINAL DOCK SYSTEM CREATED BETWEEN 1847 AND 1880.

The Hartlepool Marina is rich with history, and through the use of Technology we are able to experience the images of days gone by while enjoying the sights and sounds of the Marina today.

We have created an extensive circular walk around the present day marina, using PDA's we are able to pause at various points of interest where we can listen to a detailed description by a local Historian and view many historic images that allow us to compare the present day scene to that of 100 or so years ago.
